Cub Challenge Day at Parkend

What a brilliant day!
This is what we got up to at District Camp 2009 to celebrate 100 years of Scouting in the Royal Forest of Dean.

CubJam 09: Video 1
We went to CubJam 2009, the National Cub Scout Jamboree, at Gilwell Park, the home of Scouting, along with over 700 other Cubs from Packs, Groups, Districts and Counties from around the country.Carnival Theme for the week. We had our own Radio Station, CubJam FM, featuring information, news, and interactive competitions for those on site, and those listening on FM and on the internet.
During the week we did lots of activities, events and entertainment and we will build Carnival Floats and Costumes for the Carnival Procession on Thursday evening.

Cub Camp 2009
This year we went to Blackwell Adventure Scout Camp on the 26-28 June 2009 for our Cub Camp. We had a brilliant time sleeping in wigwams (we bell tents), making totem poles, kayaking, archery, grass sledges, go-karts (Right: Ben in the lead), campfire and swimming in the outdoor pool. Have a look at the photos and see for yourself.
As you can see, we had a great time, the weather was brilliant but not everyone stayed dry.
