Volunteering
The most effective way of helping us is to offer some of you time. Every adult is a volunteer so we know how important your spare time is. Volunteering is fun and there are two main ways that you could volunteer:
Volunteer working with Young People
If you enjoy working with young people, then why not join one of our teams of leaders. You can come along and help set up activities, talk to small groups of children, maybe help in a game or make sure that they are safe and happy when doing an activity. Volunteering doesn't mean you will be running the whole thing after three weeks so don't panic. All our leaders work together to make it easy, fun and time-flexible for everyone volunteering.
'Behind the scenes' Volunteer
You don't have to be brilliant with children to help Ruardean Scouts.
There are many 'behind the scenes' roles that you could do that would
benefit the young people. They could be handling the finances,
book-keeping, website editor, administrator for the two sections, gift
aid administrator, fundraiser, committee member or advertiser. Have a
think about what you are interested in and let us know, we will find
the right role for you!
Donating
As a charity, we always need money! We do not make a profit and everything is spent on our current members to cover insurance, rental of the hall or equipment, badges, special events, resources and supporting families who need it most so that they can join in with the programme of activities. If you would like to donate, please contact us for more details.
